Additionally, Tidewell Hospice, an organization that serves more than 1,100 patients daily in Sarasota, Manatee, Charlotte and DeSoto counties, is one of the largest not-for-profit hospices in the U.S.

Blake Medical Center

Blake Medical Center is a 383 bed, tertiary hospital that has been offering a wide range of quality healthcare services for over 45 years. Its highly skilled team delivers lifesaving and life-improving services from advanced heart procedures and critical care emergency services to joint replacement and spine surgery.  Blake is the only Level II Trauma Center in the County, and it offers one of only six Burn Care Centers in the state of Florida.

Lakewood Ranch Medical Center

Lakewood Ranch Medical Center is an acute care hospital providing emergency services, an Orthopedic Spine and Joint Center, inpatient and outpatient surgery, Cardiovascular services, Women and Children’s Center with Obstetrical care, Breast Health Center, Imaging and Radiology, Physical Therapy, Stroke and Cerebrovascular Center, Sleep Center and Center for Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Medicine.

Manatee Memorial Hospital

Manatee Memorial Hospital is a 319-bed acute care facility that has served the community for 64 years. Its areas of specialization include cardio/cardiovascular services, inpatient and outpatient surgery, emergency medicine, orthopedic and spine surgery and women’s health services. The hospital has the county’s only Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and Pediatric Center.

Blake Medical Center

MCR Health is a leading not-for-profit healthcare system that provides high quality, compassionate care to families throughout Florida, including our Huntingdon Behavioral Health division which is one of the largest behavioral health providers in the state.

MCR operates over 30 healthcare centers, 13 pharmacies, and three mobile units, providing a wide range of services including family practice, internal medicine, pediatrics, OB/GYN, behavioral health, vision, dental, podiatry, cardiology, general surgery and many other medical services. Our mission is to provide all patients including the underserved and uninsured access to quality primary care and preventative health education regardless of race, sex, disability, or economic status. Last year alone MCR provided over $45 million in charity care for the uninsured.
